About Professional Certification
The 60-hour InterpreterEd.com live, online training program prepares you for national certification as a medical or healthcare interpreter. Currently, two U.S. organizations certify healthcare interpreters at the national level:
- Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
- National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)
While similar in many ways, there are key differences between the credentials from these two organizations. Some healthcare interpreters choose to become certified by both.
